Mike's wife drives a Honda. When driving to work one day, her check engine light came on and started flashing. She reached out to the dealership first, but wasn't satisfied with the response they provided. That's when Mike called Fox Run Auto on her behalf. "She made it to work and then called Martin Honda to see what the issue might be," Mike says. "They said not to drive the car, to get it towed to them and they'd take a look and let her know... in two weeks, and with no loner or rental car offered!" The dealership was right in recommending she not drive the car. The check engine light can come on for any number of reasons. It could be something as simple as a loose gas cap or failing oxygen sensor. Or, it could be something much more s ... read more

Steven brought his car into Fox Run Auto for a general safety inspection. He wanted to make sure his vehicle was in good shape and take care of any minor issues that might be needed. One of our automotive technicians handled the job with professionalism and care. She ran diagnostic tests and inspected the car's important systems from bumper to bumper. From the engine to the exhaust and everything in between, we cover every detail and look for common automotive issues. "The tech rocked!" says Steven. "During the oil change, she was able to do a safety inspection, check all the car's major systems, change a bad turn signal bulb, and even find clips that matched ones missing from the underbody insulation. All this in under 2 hours!" It's always important to have things like your ... read more

Joann noticed that one of her tires was losing air pressure. She refilled it every day, but it kept leaking. She knew something was wrong and wasn't comfortable driving around with a tire that couldn't hold air pressure. Joann called Fox Run Auto in Bear, DE for help. "I was losing air in my front driver side tire," Joann says. "I felt insecure driving my car with low pressure light and having to fill it up daily for a few days. I called, explained my problem, and they fit me within an hour!" Once Joann's car was in our shop, our automotive technicians inspected the tire for damage. There was small hole in the tire, which was causing a slow leak. It would hold air for a little while, but obviously Joann kept having to fill it up each day. Even if the tire will hold air for some time, it's not a great idea to drive for long with a ... read more

Donna came into Fox Run Auto because she thought her vehicle might be due for an oil change. It turns out it wasn't, but she did make some interesting observations while at our shop. Donna listened to some of the conversations that our service staff was having with other customers and she was impressed by the communication. "While I was there, I listened to several service explanations that were provided to other customers and I was impressed," Donna says. "For services that didn't require immediate action, customers were advised of the current state and informed when service might be needed—instead of being pressured to get the work done then. Refreshing!" At Fox Run Auto, we aren't in the business of "upselling" customers on parts or services that they don't necessarily need. We believe in telling it like it is. We strive to provide o ... read more
